1. Within Winrar, run "test archive" to check your files.
2. If you have a problem file, run winrar "repair". Then test again.
3. Re-Download the file again usually fixes the corrupt file.

Problem #1: Dirt 3 for PC crashes and blackscreens on Windows 7 / core i7 / nVidia graphics

Possible Solution:

Follow these steps:

?Make sure you there is no hardware settings xml in your "save game folder" (in documents)
?Find your game installation directory (ever disc install or steam) locate "system folder" , Find 'hardware_settings_config.xml'
?On the third/fourth line were it says "workerMapFile="system/workerMapCore. put the number of cores you have . ie mine is 8. so to make the game read the correct mapped cores, should look like .. (marked in red) WorkerMapFile="system/workerMap8Core.xml" (do not forget to put .xml at the end of it.
?Under graphics find , "forcedx9=false change to "forcedx9=true
?Once this is done, make sure this file is saved under the same title and replaces the original. under all files.
?From this point, using the desktop game icon or game folder icon, or even start menu game icon, you'll have right click the icon and use program under administer user. (or set the game to load every time with this privilege)
?Note: The game will start in a window not full screen, (just double click the window to full screen the game will start, load, play races, finish races, go online and you name it, even auto save, but it might stop responding on "exit" (manual close otherwords)
Problem #2: Dirt 3 for PC crashes during launch, cannot launch Dirt 3

Some people who have bought the game may have an issue where the game does not start up when you try to launch it. This can be because Games For Windows Live is not installed correctly.

To fix this issue all you have to do is:

?Restart your computer (important!)

Problem #3: Dirt 3 for PC cannot save, cannot auto-save, can't save file, not saving when using 64-bit systems, GFWL save problem

Possible Solution #1:

Note: I didnt install the latest .NET framework, and didnt have any problems because of it. The game runs perfectly, and autosaves as it should.

Possible Solution #2:

If you are using 2 Xbox controllers at the same time, this may cause the auto-save to fail (really odd!). Try disconnecting the usb Xbox controllers to see if this is the source of the issue.

Problem #4: Dirt 3 for PC crashes at start up logo, Dirt 3 will not load after logo or intro

Try unpluging any USB controllers and see if DIRT 2 will boot through. A friends MOMO wheel stop DIRT 2 from loading. He needed to update MOMO drivers for Win 7 64bit.
